Aims

  1. To introduce a group of undergraduate students to a geographically remote and environmentally sensitive area, and undertake preliminary impact assessments into the growth of various kinds of tourism, and to further the understanding of geomorphological processes that operate in this unique environment;
  2. To provide new information on aspects of the Kimberley region that will be useful to Australians and other interested parties;
  3. To give students the opportunity to experience and practice field research and techniques in a harsh and unpromising arid environment.
