Our collections

Welcome to the gateway to the RSGS collections. The RSGS has been acquiring materials since its inception in 1884 and the collections are ever increasing through generous gifts and donations. We provide a number of ways to access these collections through this website; please follow the links below.

If you have further queries regarding the collections please contact us at collections@rsgs.org, please see details of arrangements for access and enquiries.

Search the collections using our custom designed database. This facility allows you to search for items by geographical location, title, publisher, date etc. More items are being listed daily, so please visit again.

Physical Access to Our Collections

Since the Society has moved to new premises in Perth parts of our physical collections are not currently available for consultation. This is because our maps and images are in store while we raise funds to develop a new education centre which will include a collections area and excellent facilities for public consultation of material. Further details of access arrangements are available. We apologise for this situation. Our books and journals remain accessible, and there are around 21,500 images available via this web site.
