Joining RSGS

"For people who like to learn about their place in the world"

The RSGS is at the centre of geography in Scotland. As such we provide information and assistance to our members whether enthusiastic travellers or professional geographers in their pursuit of geographical knowledge at home and abroad.

RSGS also undertakes work within schools and universities, co-operates with local and national Government agencies as well as collaborating with the media and the general public to promote the landscape and culture of Scotland in its global context. Whoever you are and where-ever you are, your membership goes in part to helping RSGS to achieve these very real and important goals.

Our broad membership is drawn from all parts Scotland, the United Kingdom and many countries around the world. Whether your interest is in the towns, villages or people of Scotland, the role of Scotland in the wider world or global issues such as climate change or third-world development, RSGS has something to offer you.
