RSGS Mungo Park Medallist Myrtle Simpson is a Scottish mountain climber and polar explorer, and the tenth woman to receive the Polar Medal, 50 years after she became the first woman to cross Greenland’s polar ice cap. She has scaled Andean peaks, dragged a sledge across glaciers and sea ice, and attempted to reach the North Pole, amongst many other adventures. Join us for a very special evening as she speaks about her lifetime of adventures, with RSGS Writer in Residence Jo Woolf FRSGS.

Talks begin at 7:30pm; tickets are FREE for RSGS Members, U18s and Students, or £6 for visitors.
