Speaking from the RSGS Croll Garden, Chief Executive of RSGS, Mike Robinson, explains the underpinnings of climate change science, and some of the key solutions the world must implement to tackle this existential crisis. Mike draws on more than 20 years of experience working on environmental policy in Scotland, including a pivotal role in helping bring about the 2009 Climate Change (Scotland) Act, and highlights the power of the recent 'School Strikes for Climate' in raising the profile of climate action globally. As part of this event, an RSGS all-female, youth editorial team will also launch their latest Young Geographer magazine, which focuses on climate justice issues from around the world.

Talks begin at 7.30pm; tickets are FREE for RSGS Members, U18s and Students, or £5 for visitors.
