RSGS is offering a series of twilight webinars over the period Autumn 2023/Spring 2024, on aspects of educational reform emerging from recent Scottish Government reports. Join us for the first of these webinars on aspects of educational reform emerging from recent Scottish Government reports, hosted by RSGS with SAGT.

The webinar will provide an excellent opportunity for geographers to share their views on the recent Hayward Review and its recommendations and consider the implications for Geography and Geography teachers.

In this first session we'll gear from Ken Muir, author of “Putting Learners at the Centre” and Vice-Chair of RSGS; Louise Hayward, author of the “It’s Our Future” (Review of Qualifications and Assessment); Emma Wotherspoon, Geography teacher and Vice-President of SAGT; and Alastair McConnell, Chair of RSGS Education Committee. Through group discussion, the webinar will provide an excellent opportunity for geographers to make known their views on the Haywards recommendations and consider the implications for Geography and Geography teachers.
