This project offers a great opportunity to broaden our outreach, to strengthen the skills and motivation of young geographers, and to increase geographical awareness.

We are increasingly being asked to give talks to a range of small clubs, special interest groups, schools and universities. And with our 135-year heritage, we certainly have a great many inspirational stories we could share with all these audiences. But to do so, we need to develop, guide and resource a network of speakers.

With your support, we hope to recruit a group of people, especially undergraduates and recent graduates, to deliver talks on our behalf. We would train them in public speaking and communicating, and provide them with scripted presentations, ensuring they were properly equipped and confident to represent geography and the RSGS.

Please help us if you can, and please contact us on [email protected] if you would be interested in applying to join the talks team, or in organising a talk for your group.
