Join the Royal Scottish Geographical Society as we host founder and Chairman of Dnipro Kids, Steven Carr, at the AK Bell Library in Perth.

Steven Carr, a Hibernian FC fan first visited Dnipro in 2005 when their club played a UEFA tie against Dnipropetrovsk. He was part of a group that visited the Predniprovski orphanage in Dnipro, where he was moved by what he saw. Steven set up the Dnipro Kids charity and has been the driving force behind the charity's mission since its inception.

Dnipro Kids provides care, help and practical support to the lives of kids from Ukrainian orphanage families, in particular during this time of war.

At the event Steven will discuss the challenges faced during the evacuation, the impact on the families involved, and the role of Dnipro Kids in supporting Ukrainian communities in Scotland.

Steven will be interviewed by author and story consultant Hazel Marshall about the charities past achievments, ongoing projects and future initatives.
