An Evening with Kirsty Wark

Best known as the long-standing presenter of BBC’s Newsnight, Kirsty Wark is one of the UK’s most recognisable faces (and voices) and a woman of formidable intellect. She is well known for her advocacy and scrutiny of current affairs and politics, but is just as passionate about culture, style and music. She has most recently been presenting The Reunion and Front Row for BBC Radio 4, and a BBC Scotland documentary on Icons of Style and has just written her third novel.   

Wark is known for going toe-to-toe with politicians and for her documentaries on a wide array of topics touching on health, gender and the wider role that culture and the arts have to play in the public sphere.  It is this drive and leadership, her integrity and advocacy of the power of intelligent debate, and her passion for art, language and culture that we are so keen to celebrate. She is a veritable woman for all seasons. Kirsty Wark is one of the BBC's longest-serving presenters and is one of Scotland’s finest and revered communicators.
